Welcome to our awesome company, your go-to destination for complete software development activities. We utilize both nearshore and offshore resources to provide top-notch services such as mobile app development, technology maintenance, web server development, and many other technology development activities.

Originally coined by trophy hunters in Africa, the term “Big Five” referred to the most challenging animals to shoot and kill. However, we are reclaiming the narrative and presenting the global “New Big Five” for wildlife photography. In a global poll, 50,000 people voted for the five animals they would love to photograph or see photographed in the wild. The winners were the elephant, polar bear, lion, gorilla, and tiger.

To commemorate this remarkable achievement, we are thrilled to announce the publication of “The New Big 5” photography book. This extraordinary book features stunning images of these animals and other at-risk wildlife captured by renowned photographers like Ami Vitale, Steve McCurry, and Paul Nicklen. Additionally, it includes insightful essays from famous conservationists and activists like Jane Goodall and Paula Kahumbu.

More than a book, “The New Big 5” is a global call to action on issues impacting wildlife, such as habitat loss, poaching, pollution, and climate change. Our founder, Graeme Green, first conceived this project while on assignment in Botswana over a decade ago. He wanted to encourage people to “shoot with a camera, not a gun,” generating awareness and appreciation for wildlife that is at risk.

Curating the images for this book was a labor of love that lasted nearly two years. We enlisted the expertise of 144 globally renowned wildlife photographers from all corners of the world, from Ecuador to India. The result is an unparalleled collection of beautiful and creative images that represent the species we stand to lose.

At a time when nature is declining at an unprecedented rate, with one million species facing extinction according to the UN, the New Big 5 serves as ambassadors for the plight of the natural world. Their threatened status highlights the urgent need for conservation efforts.

This book not only serves as a powerful reminder of what we could lose, but it also offers potential solutions. The featured essays delve into the benefits of rewilding and the crucial role indigenous communities play in conservation.

Furthermore, we dedicate a chapter to endangered species, ranging from bees to blue whales, showcasing the alarming threat climate change poses to animals beyond the New Big 5. The situation is dire, and we could have included thousands of pictures to demonstrate the severity, says Green.

Jane Goodall, a leading conservationist and author of the book’s afterword, emphasizes the importance of coming together and taking action to heal the harm we have inflicted on the natural world. She hopes that the captivating photos will transport people into the enchanting worlds of these iconic species, inspiring others to join the mission of creating a world where wildlife can thrive for future generations.

“The New Big 5: A Global Photography Project For Endangered Wildlife” by Graeme Green, published by Earth Aware Editions, will be available starting April 4, 2023.
