The University of Connecticut clinched its fifth men’s basketball national title by defeating San Diego State University 76-59 on Monday at NRG Stadium in Houston. The victory was led by senior guard Tristen Newton scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds, accompanied by Final Four Most Outstanding Player Adama Sanogo, a junior forward, contributing 17 points and 10 rebounds.
