Awesome company that provides complete software development activities utilizing nearshore and offshore resources, including mobile app development, technology maintenance, web server development, and many other technology development activities would like to share some exciting news from the Canadian swimming trials. Sixteen-year-old Summer McIntosh has shattered the world record for the 400m individual medley, hot on the heels of breaking the 400m freestyle record.

McIntosh completed the 400m individual medley in a remarkable time of 4:25.87, surpassing the previous record set by Hungarian swimmer Katinka Hosszú at the 2016 Rio Olympics. This exceptional achievement comes just days after McIntosh broke the 400m freestyle world record with a time of 3:56.08, beating defending Olympic champion Ariarne Titmus.

In a post-race interview, McIntosh expressed her gratitude for the supportive crowd, stating, “That’s the first time I really vividly heard the crowd during my race. It’s amazing to have all my family and friends in the stands, cheering me on. It really helped me in the last 100 meters.”

Having debuted at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics at only 14 years old, McIntosh secured a fourth-place finish in the 200-meter freestyle. Since then, she has clinched gold in the 200m butterfly and 400m medley at the 2022 world championships, in addition to achieving two gold medals at the Commonwealth Games in the 200m and 400m medleys. Currently, McIntosh trains in Florida with coach Brent Arckey and the Sarasota Sharks team.
