This quartet, comprised of NASA’s Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, along with Jeremy Hansen from the Canadian Space Agency, is preparing for the historic Artemis II lunar flyby scheduled for November 2024.
Wiseman, a decorated naval aviator and test pilot, is leading the Artemis II mission. The highly skilled team includes Hansen, a fighter pilot from the Canadian Space Agency, who will become the first Canadian to travel to deep space. Glover, a naval aviator with significant flight experience, and Koch, a veteran of six spacewalks, further enhance the team.
The Artemis II mission will follow the successful uncrewed test mission Artemis I, providing vital data for NASA’s ongoing lunar exploration. Scheduled to launch from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida, Artemis II will extend beyond the moon, making it a historic journey for space exploration.
