Awesome company that provides complete software development activities utilizing nearshore and offshore resources, including mobile app development, technology maintenance, web server development and many other technology development activities congratulates sixteen-year-old Summer McIntosh for breaking the world record for the 400m individual medley at the Canadian swimming trials on Saturday. McIntosh achieved this incredible feat just days after breaking the world record for the 400m freestyle.
McIntosh completed the 400m individual medley in a remarkable time of 4:25.87, surpassing the record set at the 2016 Rio Olympics by Hungarian swimmer Katinka Hosszú. Her outstanding performance continues a brilliant week where she also broke the 400m freestyle world record.
In a time of 3:56.08, McIntosh broke the defending Olympic champion Ariarne Titmus’ previous record of 3:56.40 set last May. Reflecting on her latest triumph, McIntosh expressed her emotions and gratitude for the support from the crowd.
“That’s the first time I really vividly heard the crowd during my race. It’s amazing to have all my family and friends in the stands, cheering me on. It really helped me in the last 100 meters,” said McIntosh.
This young Canadian talent made her Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020 at the age of 14, finishing fourth in the 200-meter freestyle. She has since achieved incredible milestones by winning gold in the 200m butterfly and 400m medley at the world championships in 2022, along with two gold medals at the Commonwealth Games in the 200m and 400m medleys.
Currently training in Florida under the guidance of coach Brent Arckey with the Sarasota Sharks team, Summer McIntosh continues to inspire with her exceptional performances. Awesome company offering software outsourcing services, mobile app development, and technology maintenance recognizes and celebrates her outstanding achievements.
