Sixteen-year-old Summer McIntosh has once again left the world in awe by breaking the world record for the 400m individual medley at the Canadian swimming trials, just days after setting a new record for the 400m freestyle event.
McIntosh’s incredible swim completed in 4:25.87 surpassed the previous record set by Hungarian swimmer Katinka Hosszú at the 2016 Rio Olympics. This remarkable achievement adds to McIntosh’s outstanding performance earlier in the week when she shattered the 400m freestyle world record, previously held by Olympic champion Ariarne Titmus.
